MFU leader takes national post

ST. PAUL -- Doug Peterson, Minnesota Farmers Union president, was elected secretary of the National Farmers Union Board of Directors at the NFU Convention in Washington, D.C.

ST. PAUL -- Doug Peterson, Minnesota Farmers Union president, was elected secretary of the National Farmers Union Board of Directors at the NFU Convention in Washington, D.C.

"It is an honor to be elected by my peers from all over the country to be secretary of National Farmers Union," said Peterson. "I look forward to working with our new National Farmers Union President Roger Johnson in promoting the Farmers Union agenda and pushing for policies that better the lives of the family farmer and rural America."

Farmers Union represents people in 32 states throughout 25 state and two regional organizations.
