Minnesota 91 detour expands north to Lake Wilson

Minnesota 91

MANKATO — Motorists are advised that beginning today, a second detour for the Minnesota 91 project north of Adrian began between Lismore and Lake Wilson to allow crews to complete bridge and culvert work before harvest.

The second (stage 2) detour consists of Nobles County 15, Murray County 29 and Minnesota 30 and is expected to be in place until mid-October. In addition, the Minnesota 91 detour from Adrian to Lismore (Nobles County 35, 15 and 16) will remain in place for about two more weeks.

The construction project includes bridge replacements and rural box culvert construction that requires detouring Minnesota 91. Resurfacing will be completed as well as sidewalk and driveway improvements in Adrian and Lake Wilson and additional lighting at rural intersections. The expected project completion date is June 2020.

This 45 mile-long construction job completes Minnesota 91 projects planned in both MnDOT District 7–Mankato (Nobles County) and MnDOT District 8–Willmar (Murray and Lyon counties). More information on the Minnesota 91 projects and the detour maps can be found at www.mndot.gov/d7/projects/hwy91/ and www.mndot.gov/d8/projects/hwy91 .
