LUVERNE -- The Rock County Sheriff's Office is on the lookout for a white male who robbed the Minnwest Bank, located on East Main Street in Luverne.
The robbery took place at approximately 11 a.m. Wednesday, and according to a Luverne Chamber of Commerce business alert, no one was harmed.
A news release from Rock County Sheriff Evan Verbrugge states the suspect entered the bank and placed a note on the counter requesting money from a teller. He did not specify whether he had a weapon. Verbrugge said there were no customers at the teller counter at the time of the robbery.
The robber is described as approximately 5 feet 10 inches to 6 feet tall, 170 to 180 pounds with dark hair. He was around 35 to 40 years old, had a mustache and was wearing a red flannel long-sleeved shirt with a white T-shirt underneath and a light-colored baseball cap. He was also wearing a white glove on his left hand, which authorities believe may have been to cover an injury or tattoo.
That description changed from an earlier alert from the chamber that said the man had blond hair, no facial hair and a blue baseball cap.
