MINONG, Wis. - The Washburn County Sheriff's Department reported late Wednesday a missing man has been located.
William Moritz, 50, had been reported as leaving his home in southern Wisconsin on Monday to come to his cabin on Twin Lakes Road in the town of Minong. According to reports, he was last seen Monday morning.
According to the sheriff's department, Moritz decided to take a walk after arriving at his cabin. He walked to Superior by way of the St. Croix Trails and Highway 35. A good Samaritan from Solon Springs drove him back to the cabin Wednesday, where he arrived around 8 p.m.
