ROCHESTER - Former Vice President Walter Mondale’s hospital stay was a short one.
He was admitted to Mayo Clinic Friday with the flu and was discharged during the weekend, Minnesota Public Radio reported.
Former President Jimmy Carter on Friday told a Minneapolis audience that 87-year-old Mondale was at Mayo for a routine examination when doctors found he had a fever and the flu.
In addition to serving as Carter’s vice president, Mondale was U.S. ambassador to Japan, a U.S. senator and Minnesota attorney general.
