A moose was struck and killed Friday night in a one-vehicle accident that also injured the driver and passenger.
The vehicle, a 2005 Chevy Cavalier, was three miles west of Emerado, N.D., westbound on US Highway 2, when it struck the moose.
Arthur Skavlem, 39, and passenger Andrea Tibert, 30, both of Grand Forks, N.D., were injured and taken to Altru Hospital in Grand Forks.
Skavelm was treated and released, according to a hospital spokeswoman. Tibert was in satisfactory condition.
