MILFORD, Iowa -- A 29-year-old man was killed as a result of a car-motorcycle accident Tuesday in Dickinson County.
The Dickinson County Sheriff's Office responded to the accident at 11:50 a.m. Tuesday on Dickinson County A34, about 2 miles east of Milford.
According to the accident report, Mitchell Jesperson, 29, of Graettinger, Iowa, was driving a 1997 Kawasaki Ninja westbound on A34. Susan Klassen of Arnolds Park was eastbound in a 2011 Chevrolet Equinox and was turning onto 240th Avenue when she turned into the path of the motorcycle.
Jesperson was pronounced dead at the scene. Klassen was transported to Lakes Regional Healthcare for treatment of minor injuries.
Damage to the Equinox was estimated at $20,000. The motorcycle was a total loss.

The accident remains under investigation by the Dickinson County Sheriff's Office.
