Emily Schmitz and Derek Nelson announce their engagement.
Parents of the couple are Ann and Derek Schmitz, Brewster, and Sherri and Steve Nelson, Round Lake.
Schmitz is a graduate of Sioux Valley-Round Lake-Brewster High School. She is employed at United Prairie Bank and is also a hair stylist.
Nelson is also a graduate of Sioux Valley-Round Lake-Brewster High School. He is employed by the City of Round Lake.
They plan an April 5 wedding in Brewster.
