ST. PAUL -- Secretary of State Mark Ritchie announced Tuesday that Nobles County received a $7,800 election grant.
The legislature authorized these grants to provide counties with additional funding for operating and maintaining election equipment. Counties may use the grant to pay for actual county and municipal costs for election equipment maintenance, Election Day technical support, software licensing, system programming, voting system testing, training of county or municipal staff in the use of voting equipment, and transportation and storage of the voting equipment.
