Having been recently hospitalized herself, JoAnn Nyholm has firsthand knowledge of the level of care provided at Worthington Regional Hospital.
"It just reaffirms to me how comforting it is to be close to home and have caregivers who want to provide the best care possible," reflected Nyholm, who was recently treated for an infection at WRH.
As the director of nursing at WRH for the last seven years, Nyholm has played a key role in maintaining that system of care. She will retire effective March 31, turning her duties over to Jennifer Weg, who will assume the title of director of patient care services.
Nyholm's time at WRH capped off a career that spanned 45 years. Originally, she didn't plan to become a nurse.
