DORIS E. LARSON, 94, of Windom, died Saturday, Feb. 10, 2007, at Sogge Good Samaritan Center, Windom.

ROSELLA E. SAMP, 85, of Alpha, died Saturday, Feb. 10, 2007, at Jackson Medical Center Hospital.

MOFTA ABDELSALAM ZEIDI, 45, of Worthington, died Sunday, Feb. 11, 2007, at Worthington Regional Hospital.
Born Sept. 3, 1961, in Benghazi, Libya, he was the son of Abdelsalam and Howa Zeidi. He married Stacie Reese Aug. 10, 1996, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Worthington.
He attended school in Libya and served his country in the Libya Marines. He immigrated to the United States in 1991 and he lived in Washington, D.C., until moving to Sioux Falls, S.D., in 1992. He worked at John Morell Co. In late 1992, he moved to Worthington and was presently employed with Swift and Co.
Surviving are his wife; three children, Milad Zeidi, Nasim Zeidi and Aisha Zeidi, all of Worthington; his mother; one brother, Milad Zeidi, Benghazi, Libya; and one sister, Fawzia Zeidi, Benghazi.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today and from 9 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at Dingmann Funeral Home, Worthington.
Burial will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Hill of Rest Cemetery, Sioux Falls.
VIRGIL VASKE, 80, of Slayton, died Saturday, Feb. 10, 2007, at Our House Hospice Home, Slayton.

ALMA MARY ROEMER, 105, of Westbrook, died Friday, Feb. 9, 2007, at Westbrook Good Samaritan Center.
Born Nov. 4, 1901, on a farm near Storden, she was the daughter of Nels and Laura Klarup. She married William Roemer Oct. 17, 1959. He died in 1969.
She attended school in Storden and graduated from eighth grade at Double Lake School. During her teen years, she worked various baby-sitting and housekeeping jobs. At age 18, she went to the Twin Cities to work at Minneapolis Knitting Works for four years. In 1922, she attended Mankato Commercial College, where she took a nine month stenographic course. She worked at Villa's Restaurant and other jobs before she began working as a clerk at the Storden Post Office in 1933 and continued her job there until she retired in August 1963. She was a member of Storden Baptist Church. She was in bowling league, volunteered at the Storden Economy Store and was active in the Storden Senior Citizens organization. She entered the Good Samaritan Nursing Home in October 2000.
Surviving are one stepdaughter, Janet (Willard) Mischke, Westbrook; and one sister, Ella Klarup, Savory, Ill.
The service will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Storden Baptist Church.

MARY ELLEN SMITH, 85, of Pipestone, died Friday, Feb. 9, 2007, at Ashton Care Center in Pipestone.
Born Nov. 3, 1921, in Springfield, she was the daughter of Edward and Irene Linde Luksik. She married Marlo Smith Aug. 13, 1943, in Corpus Christi, Texas. He died in January 1947.
As a young child, she moved with her family to Pipestone, where she was raised and received her education. After she graduated from Pipestone High School in 1940, she attended cosmetology school in Minneapolis. After completion of her education, she returned to Pipestone where she was employed by Faye Jensen in her beauty shop. When her husband was deployed overseas with the U.S Marine Corps, she returned to Pipestone. She worked in the business office of Ashton Hospital in Pipestone. She later worked as a clerk for Pipestone County Selective Service Office. She continued working in this position until the close of the military draft. At that time, she retired. She became a resident of Ashton Care Center in 1997. She as a member of St. Leo Catholic Church, Pipestone.
Surviving are one daughter, Susan (Joseph) Chilcote-Kmetz, Coon Rapids; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
The service will be 10 a.m. today at St. Leo Catholic Church, Pipestone. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
