MARJORIE E. WINKEL, 81, of Ashton, died Friday, Feb. 10, 2006, at Northwest Iowa Health Center, Sheldon, Iowa.

Born Aug. 19, 1924, in rural Ashton, she was the daughter of Everett and Maggie Loerts Wubbena. She married Kenneth Winkel Aug. 23, 1946, at First Presbyterian Church, Ashton. He died April 29, 1994.

She graduated from Ashton High School. After marriage, they farmed for 47 years and moved into Ashton in 1978. She became a resident of Fieldcrest Assisted Living in Ashton in 2005. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Ashton, where she served as treasurer for many years and in the Presbyterian Women organization.

Surviving are three sons, Dale (Linda) Winkel, Ashton, Bert (Cinder) Winkel, Eden Prairie, and David (Norma) Wilkel, George, Iowa; two daughters, Donna Vaupel, Sioux Falls, S.D., and Dee (Denny) Nolan, Mankato; 11 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

The service will be 10:30 a.m. today at First Presbyterian Church, Ashton, with the Rev. Dale Lint officiating. Burial will be in Gilman Township Cemetery, Ashton.

GEORGE GAGE MUSSMAN, 86, of Ellsworth, died Saturday, Feb. 11, 2006, at Sioux Valley Luverne Community Hospital, Luverne.

Born Nov. 25, 1919, in Lakota, Iowa, he was the son of George and Orleana Mussman. He married Joyce Williams Aug. 6, 1966, in Sioux Falls, S.D. She died in 1988.

As a young boy, he moved with his family to Ellsworth, where he attended school. After marriage, they lived in Ellsworth. He worked for the Rock Island Railroad for 39 years, retiring in 1977. He also delivered the Sioux Falls Argus Leader for more than 10 years. He became a resident of Parkview Manor Nursing Home in Ellsworth in 1997. He was a member of the Ellsworth Volunteer Fire Department and the Royal Neighbors.

Surviving are one daughter, Merrily (Jody) Hinrichs, Ellsworth; two sisters, Bonnie Bierma, Iona, and Barb Smook, Phoenix, Ariz.; and three grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, with the family present from 3 to 5 p.m., at Dingmann Funeral Home, Adrian, and from 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesday at Zion Presbyterian Church, Ellsworth.

The service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Zion Presbyterian Church, Ellsworth, with the Rev. Bill Kleyman officiating. Burial will be in Grand Prairie Cemetery, Ellsworth.

EVELYN WELLS, 89, of Jackson, died Saturday, Feb. 11, 2006, at Jackson Medical Center Hospital.

BARBARA BISHOP, 93, of Worthington, died Sunday, Feb. 12, 2006, at Sunset Cottage, Worthington.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, with a family memorial service at 7 p.m., at Benson Funeral Home, Worthington.

The service will be 11 a.m. Thursday at First Lutheran Church, Worthington, with the Rev. Richard Ricker officiating.

Memorials are preferred to First Lutheran Church or Sunset Cottage.

Benson Funeral Home, Worthington, is in charge of arrangements.

GOLDIE M. ZIEGLER, 92, of Fort Dodge, formerly of Ocheyedan, died Saturday, Feb. 11, 2006, at Tompkins Health Center, Fort Dodge.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, with the family present from 6:30 to 8 p.m., at Andringa Funeral Chapel, Ocheyedan.

The service will be 11 am. Wednesday at the Andringa Funeral Chapel Ocheyedan, with the Rev. Richard Layman officiating. Burial will be in Ocheyedan Township Cemetery.
