FANCHON PATRIANN JOHNSON, 96, of Worthington, died Monday, Feb. 27, 2006, at Worthington Regional Hospital.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Benson Funeral Home, Worthington, and from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Indian Lake Baptist Church, rural Worthington.
The service will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Indian Lake Baptist Church, rural Worthington, with the Rev. Terry Johnston officiating. Burial will be in Indian Lake Baptist Cemetery.
PETER RUNIA, 86, of Sibley, died Sunday, Feb. 26, 2006, at Country View Manor Care Center in Sibley.
Born Jan. 27, 1920, in Sibley, he was the son of Peter and Cornelia DeYoung Runia. He married Irene Ricklefs on Aug. 17, 1940, in Ireton, Iowa.

He started country school in Sibley and finished in Orange City, Iowa. He worked for Rural Electrification as a surveyor in Iowa. In 1939, he went to welding school in Sioux City, Iowa. He then worked for John Deere and later International Harvester in the Quad Cities. He enlisted in the Army during World War II and was a member of the 82nd Airborne Division. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Sibley, where he served on many committees including the building committee. He was involved in Kiwanis, American Legion, City Council and school board.
Surviving are his wife; one daughter, Sherry Craig, Dakota Dunes, S.D.; and one sister, Elizabeth Zevenbergen, Sibley.
Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. today, with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m., at Walton-Roste Funeral Home, Sibley.
The service will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Trinity Lutheran Church, Sibley, with the Rev. Scott Meyer officiating. Burial will follow in Holman Township Cemetery, Sibley.
JACK GLIDDEN, 73, of rural Windom, died Monday, Feb. 27, 2006, at his home.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday at LaCanne Family Funeral Home, Windom.
The service will be 1 p.m. Friday at LaCanne Family Funeral Home, Windom, with the Rev. David Lightner officiating. Full military honors will follow. Burial will be at a later date in Lakeview Cemetery.
JOHN EDWARD DETLEFSEN, 79, of Lake Park, died Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2006, at his winter home in Thousand Palms, Calif.

Born Nov. 5, 1926, in Round Lake, he was the son of Fred and Minnie Burmiester Detlefsen. He married Violet Davey of Dunmurry, Northern Ireland, on Feb. 1, 1959, at Concordia Lutheran Church, Lake Park.
He graduated from Sioux Valley High School in 1944. He entered the Army in September 1950, serving on active duty until September 1952. He served in the Army Reserve for five more years until receiving his discharge. He made his home in Lake Park, where he worked as the parts and service manager for Jensen Ford for 48 years. In retirement, he worked part-time at Northern Iowa Diecast. He was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church, Lake Park. He was also a member of American Legion Post 371, Thrivent for Lutherans, Ford Parts and Service Club and Northwest Iowa Aging Association. He was an active volunteer, driving veterans to the VA Hospital in Sioux Falls, S.D., and working as an organizer for Dinner Date.
Surviving are his wife, Violet; one son, Alan Detlefsen, Lake Park; two daughters, Valerie Detlefsen and Julie Detlefsen, both of West Des Moines, Iowa; three sisters, Ruth (Elmer) Jensen, Lake Park, Ethel (Ed) Hoover, San Bernadino, Calif., and June (Gale) Schoelerman, Lake Park.
The service will be 10:30 a.m. today at Concordia Lutheran Church, Lake Park, Iowa, with the Rev. Jeffrey Bauer officiating. Burial will be in Round Lake Cemetery, Round Lake.
Turner Funeral Home, Lake Park, is in charge of arrangements.
LEO HONRATH, 93, of Sioux Falls, formerly of Larchwood, Iowa, died Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2006, at Prince of Peace Avera-McKennan Nursing Home in Sioux Falls.
Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday, with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m., at The Church of St. Mary, Larchwood.
The service will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at The Church of St. Mary, Larchwood, with the Rev. Jeff Schleisman officiating.
