LOUISA RENEE LENT, 11, died Saturday, March 24, 2007.
Born Oct. 9, 1995, in New York City, she was the daughter of Louis and Renae Lent.
She was a sixth-grader at George Fischer Middle School, Carmel. She was a dancer, a writer, a French horn player and enjoyed horseback riding, swimming and ice skating. She attended Gilead Presbyterian Church and was a member of the church's youth group.
Surviving are her parents; one brother, Sean; and her grandparents, Arnold and LeAnne Meyer, Worthington.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Tuesday at Adams-Cordovano Funeral Home, Carmel.

ROBERT ERNEST SNYDER, 80, of Park Rapids, died Friday, March 23, 2007, at his home.
Born Nov. 13, 1926, in Sioux City, Iowa, he was the son of Laurin and Mabel Snyder. He married Muriel Darlene Doran June 16, 1949.
He grew up in Sargeant Bluff, Iowa, and moved to Sioux City, where he graduated from East High School in 1944. He attended the University of Iowa and was drafted into the U.S. Army during his freshman year. After serving in World War II, he returned to the University of Iowa, where he played football for the Hawkeyes and was named MVP in 1945. His lifelong teaching career took him first to Ely, Nev., and then in 1951 to Worthington District 518. Throughout the 1950s and 1960s, he coached football, basketball and track for the Worthington Junior College Bluejays. He retired in 1986 and relocated on Eagle Lake in Park Rapids in 1990. He was a member of Riverside United Methodist Church and of the Masonic Lodge 615 A.F. and A.M. and the Abu Bekr Temple in Sioux City.
Surviving are his wife; one son, Robert Snyder Jr., Worthington; four daughters, Janelle (Michael) Johnson, Worthington, Joan (Wayne) Smedsrud, Volga, S.D., Laurie Walker, Waterloo, Iowa, and Diane (Greg) Ling, Bigelow; one brother, Laurin Snyder, Sioux City; one sister, Lorraine Rodeen, Sioux City; 10 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
A family service will be at a later date.

CORNELIUS "STUB" ELBERS, 76, of Steen, died Tuesday, March 20, 2007, at his home.

HELEN MARGUERITE ORR, 90, of Luverne, formerly of Fairmont, died Saturday, March 24, 2007, at Good Samaritan Society Mary Jane Brown Home, Luverne.
Born July 2, 1916, in Rochester, she was the daughter of John Leonard and Eunice May Eyestone Brin. She married Stanley F. "Bill" Orr Jan. 8, 1937, in Deland. He died in 1981.
Her family moved to Stewartville, where she grew up and attended school. After her high school graduation in 1934, she continued her education at Stetson College, Deland, Fla., for two years. After marriage, they lived in Deland and then Jacksonville, Fla. In 1944, they moved to Casey, Ill. In 1945, they moved to Fairmont. They opened Orr's Gift Shoppe in 1949 and operated it until they sold it in 1961. She became an organized businesswoman and was a member of many community organizations. Her parents came and lived with them in 1962, so she could help care for them. After her husband's death, she continued to live in Fairmont until August 2000, when she moved to Luverne. She became a resident of Good Samaritan Society Mary Jane Brown Home in May 2002. She was a member of United Methodist Church, Fairmont. She attended the United Methodist Church with her daughter when she moved to Luverne. She was a member of the Rebekah Circle and UMW. She was a member of PEO Chapter Y in Fairmont and Chapter DI in Luverne.
Surviving are one daughter, Bev (Jay) Mann, Luverne, three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
A private service will be at a later date. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Rochester.

MAX H. HENRY, 69, of Rock Rapids, Iowa, died Friday, March 23, 2007, at Merrill Pioneer Community Hospital, Rock Rapids.

The service will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, with the Rev. Andrew Olsem officiating. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery, Windom.

GERALD "JERRY" NOLTE, 71, of Ellsworth, died Thursday, March 22, 2007, at Parkview Manor, Ellsworth.
Born March 20, 1936, in Ellsworth, he was the son of Alvin and Eunice Swanson Nolte. He married Marlene Loken May 25, 1959, in Rock Rapids. She preceded him in death.
He grew up in Ellsworth, where he attended school and graduated in 1954. After his education, he entered the military, serving in the U.S. Army. After marriage, they made their home in Sioux Falls, S.D. In 1982, he moved to Ellsworth. He was a lifelong trucker and drove until he retired.
Surviving are his children, Steve Nolte, Pierre, S.D., and Kim (Harold) Chadwick, George; one sister, Janet (Marc) Gjovang, Eugene, Ore.; and four grandchildren.
The service will be 10:30 a.m. today at Zion Presbyterian Church, Ellsworth, with the Rev. Bill Kleymann officiating. Burial will be in Grand Prairie Cemetery, Ellsworth.
