ROBERT "BUTCH" ROEMELING, 64, of Sioux Falls, died Tuesday, March 7, 2006, at Avera McKennan Hospital, Sioux Falls.

Born Jan. 1, 1942, in Adrian, he was the son of Cyrus and Carrie Lund Roemeling.

He grew up in Adrian. He lived and worked most of his life in Sioux Falls. He was employed for several years by the Sioux Falls City Street Department.

Surviving are three sons, Robert Roemeling, Tim Roemeling and Mike Roemeling, all of Sioux Falls; his mother, Ruby Roemeling, Adrian; three brothers, William (Sadie) Roemeling, Ohatchee, Ala., Robert (Marlene) Greve, Adrian, and Allen (Diane) Roemeling, Colorado Springs, Colo.; eight sisters, Darlene (Lorn) Cook, Spencer, Iowa, Frances (Marvin) Kern, Lismore, Charleen Feekes, Adrian, Sandra (Dave) Buss, Adrian, Rhonda Archer, Spokane, Wash., Rebecca (Bruce) Nuwash, Hemphill, Texas, Dawn (Rich) Chance, Rochester and Kristen Curtis, Rochester; and five grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m., at Chapel Hill Funeral Home & Crematory, Sioux Falls.

The service will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Chapel Hill Funeral Home, Sioux Falls. Burial will be in Adrian Cemetery.

LOUISE S. MEYER, 87, of Rushmore, died Tuesday, March 7, 2006, at Sibley Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Sibley.

She was born Aug. 22, 1918, near Wirock. She married Doede Meyer July 7, 1940. He died in 1986.

She attended Flowing Well country school south of Slayton and later attended school in Fulda and St. Paul Lutheran School in Fulda. After ninth grade, she worked for various families, helping with household chores. After marriage, they farmed near Reading, then Wirock. In 1959, they moved to the family farm south of Rushmore. She moved into Rushmore in 1989. She became a resident of The Meadows in Worthington in 2003 and moved to the Sibley Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in 2005. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Rushmore.

Surviving are two sons, Dennis (Phyllis) Meyer and Mark (Peggy) Meyer, both of rural Rushmore; two daughters, Ardith (Steve) Eklund, Carlton, and Audrey (Gerald) Pieper, rural Rushmore; two brothers, Stanley (Faye) Sauder, Slayton, and Charles (Ellen) Sauder, Fairmont; 10 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Dingmann Funeral Home, Worthington, and from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. John's Lutheran Church, Rushmore.

The service will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. John's Lutheran Church, Rushmore, with the Rev. Wayne Krohe officiating. Private family burial will be at a later date in Worthington Garden of Memories.

HARRY WILBUR FENICLE, 96, of Pipestone, died Tuesday, March 7, 2006, at Ashton Care Center, Pipestone.

Born Oct. 18, 1909, in Flandreau, S.D., he was the son of Charles and Eva Payne Fenicle. He married Dorothy Corwin Sept. 7, 1933, at St. Leo's rectory, Pipestone. She died March 21, 1990.

He grew up on the family farm in Lone Rock Township, Moody County, S.D., and attended country school. After marriage, they farmed in Lone Rock Township for 11 years. In 1944, they moved to Sweet Township, where they farmed until retiring in 1969 and moving into Pipestone. He became a resident of Ashton Care Center in 1999. He was a member of St. Leo's Catholic Church, Pipestone.

Surviving is one brother, Merle (Eva) Fenicle, Woodstock.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today, with a 7:30 p.m. prayer service, at Hartquist Funeral Home, Pipestone Chapel.

The service will be 1:30 p.m. Friday at St. Leo's Catholic Church, Pipestone. Burial will be in St. Leo's Catholic Cemetery, Pipestone.

DOLORES "FOOTE" CHRISTIANSEN, Slayton, died Wednesday, March 8, 2006, at her home.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Totzke Funeral Home, Slayton, and from noon to 1 p.m. Saturday at Christ Lutheran Church, Slayton.

The service will be 1 p.m Saturday at Christ Lutheran Church, Slayton. Burial will be in Slayton Memorial Gardens.

WAYNE MOELLER, 85, of Rock Rapids, died Tuesday, March 7, 2006, at Lyon Manor Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Rock Rapids.

Visitation will be from 2 to 9 p.m. today, with the family present from 7:30 to 9 p.m., at Roste Funeral Home, Rock Rapids.

The memorial service will be 1:30 p.m. Friday at Congregational United Church of Christ, Rock Rapids, with the Rev. Dean Shelly officiating. Burial will precede the service in Riverview Cemetery, Rock Rapids.
