JOHANNA VAN DE KIEFT, 84, of Rock Rapids, Iowa, died Tuesday, Sept. 19, 2006, at Merrill Pioneer Community Hospital, Rock Rapids.

Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday, with the family present from 2 to 4 p.m., at Roste Funeral Home, Rock Rapids.

The service will be 11 am. Monday at First Reformed Church, Rock Rapids, with the Rev. Dan Haggar officiating. Burial will be in Richland Cemetery, Inwood, Iowa.

NORMAN L. CARLSON, 68, of Worthington, died Monday, Sept. 18, 2006, at Sioux Valley Hospital, Sioux Falls, S.D.

Born Sept. 29, 1937, in Burke, S.D., he was the son of Carl and Arlene Norberg Carlson.

At age 5, he moved with his family to Minnesota, and he spent most of his life in the Fulda and Worthington area. He was a member of Solid Rock Assembly, Worthington.

Surviving are his mother, Worthington; two brothers, Wesley Carlson, Stanton, Calif., and Mel (Arlene) Carlson, Truman.

Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at Dingmann Funeral Home, Worthington.

The service will be 11 a.m. Friday at Dingmann Funeral Home, Worthington, with the Rev. Scott Peterson officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Worthington.
