Ann Balt, the daughter of Henry and Susie Menning Kamphoff, was born on

March 19, 1925 at Sheldon, IA.

She grew up near Sheldon and attended country school and graduated from Sheldon High School in 1941. Ann worked as a bookkeeper at the Farmers Elevator Co. in Sheldon until 1946. Ann was united in marriage to Edwin Balt on August 29, 1946 at the First Reformed Church in Sheldon. After their marriage they lived in Worthington until June of 1947 when they moved to Fulda. After moving to Fulda they purchased and operated the Fulda Dry Cleaners until 1971. Ed then became the Postmaster and Ann worked at Consolidated Coop in Worthington until her retirement in 1988. Ann remained at home after Ed's death in December of 2000 until she moved to the Maple View Estates in Fulda in February of 2008. Ann passed away at her home on Monday, July 7, 2008 at the age of 83. She was a member of the American Reformed Church in Worthington where she belonged to the

Christian Fellowship Club, Faith Circle and was the church librarian for many years. Ann also belonged to the American Legion Auxiliary Post 318

and VFW Auxiliary Post 9017, Fulda Heritage Society, Fulda Reading Club and the Tuesday Bible Study Club. She enjoyed traveling both in the

United States and abroad and was an avid sports fan and especially loved

watching the Minnesota Twins and Minnesota Timberwolves. Ann loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include her three children and their spouses, Linda (Jeffrey) Pine of Atlanta, GA, David (Cindy) Balt of Pipestone, MN and Lorrae (Bill) Lindquist of Sioux Falls, SD; eleven grandchildren and six great-

grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister,

Alice Glessner and three brothers, Ralph, Ben and Henry Kamphoff. American Reformed Church Worthington, MN at 10:30 AM on Thursday, July 10, 2008 with the Rev. Irwin Van Leeuwen officiating. The organist is Eva Schutte. Special music by the Gospelaires Quartet. The pallbearers are her grandsons, Garett Riemersma, Michael Pine, Matthew Balt, Jason Balt, Joshua Balt, Daniel Lindquist, Eric Lindquist and Steven Lindquist. Interment at Prairie Hill Cemetery Fulda, MN.
