Dolores E. "Dee" nee Metz Ruser, 65, of Guntersville, Alabama, formerly of Marissa, IL; born December 9, 1942 in Adrian, Minnesota; died Saturday, March 1, 2008 at Huntsville Hospital,

Huntsville, Alabama.

Mrs. Ruser was a newspaper publisher.

She is preceded in death by her parents Louis and Vivian nee Owens Metz. Her 1st husband Gary Hokeness whom she married September 16, 1961 and who passed away February 18, 1972.

She is survived by her husband Duane Ruser; 2 daughters - Shelly (Michael) Minks of Marissa, IL; Denise Cripps of Herrin, IL; 1 son - Douglas (Kelly) Hokeness of Okawville, IL; 1 step-son - Steven Terry of Holstein, Iowa; 7 grandchildren - Chad (Rachel) Mulholland of Goreville, IL; Travis Cripps of Herrin, IL; Emily Cripps of Herrin, IL; Bradley Minks of Marissa, IL; Amy Minks of Marissa, IL; Brandon Hokeness of Okawville, IL and Jacob

in Marissa, IL on Wednesday, March 5, 2008 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm and on Thursday, March 6, 2008 from 9:00am to 9:20am.

Funeral: Mass will be held at St. Agatha's Catholic Church in New Athens, IL on Thursday, March 6, 2008 at 10:00am with Father James Nall officiating.

Burial: Interment will be held in the St. Agatha's Catholic Cemetery in New Athens, IL.Memorials: Memorials may be made to St. Baldrick's Children Cancer Research.
