Janet Mary Reinsma was born on June 15, 1937 in Worthington, Minnesota to John and Rosina Krogman Fath.
She grew up on the family farm in Lismore Township and attended St. Anthony's Grade School and St. Anthony's High School where she graduated in 1955. Janet then worked for Campbell's in Worthington. On June 15, 1960 she and Art Reinsma were married in St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Lismore. After their marriage they made their home in Slayton and Janet continued to work at Campbell's. She later worked at the Country Host and the Wheel Herald Newspaper in Slayton. Janet passed away at the Murray County Memorial Hospital in Slayton on April 17, 2008 at the age of 70. She was a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church in Slayton.
Survivors include her husband, Art of Slayton, MN; five children and their spouses; Brad and Becky Reinsma of Slayton, MN, Mark Reinsma of Brooklyn Park, MN, Ron and Beth Reinsma of Apple Valley, MN, Monica and Mark Hansen of Grand Rapids, MN and Darin and Diane Reinsma of Marshall, MN; 11 grandchildren, two sisters, Kathleen Dollander of Slayton, MN and Rita McCann and her husband, Jay of Colorado, Springs, CO.

April 22, 2008 at 10:30 a.m. with the Fr. Patrick Arens celebrating. Interment is at St. Ann's Cemetery, Slayton, MN.

Visitation will be on Monday, April 21, 2008 at the Totzke Funeral Home in Slayton, MN from 4-7 p.m. with a 7 p.m. prayer service and also one hour prior to the services at the church on Tuesday.
