Jeanne Leinen, the daughter of John and Genevieve Wellen Fradette, was born on March 7, 1940. She grew up in Wisconsin and later moved to Rockford, IL. In 1953 they moved to Rushmore and she graduated from the Worthington High School in 1958. Jeanne was united in marriage to Larry Leinen on July 6, 1962 in Ft. Hood, TX. After their marriage they lived in Killen, TX until 1963 when they moved to a farm south of Fulda. In 1965 they moved into Fulda. They moved to Lakefield, MN in 1990. She worked as a bookkeeper at Scholtes Automotive for many years. Jeanne passed away at the Worthington Regional Hospital on Wednesday, March 19, 2008 at the age of 68. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Fulda. She enjoyed reading, movies, listening to music, cooking, baking, going to auctions, collecting antiques and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband, Larry of Lakefield, MN; three sons, Ken (Vickie) Leinen of Lismore, MN, Steve (Angela) Leinen of Madelia, MN, and John (Nora) Leinen of Worthington, MN; eight grandchildren; two sisters, Mildred (Stanley) Breeze of Minong, WI and Mary (Doug) Gibson of Rockford, IL and one brother, Jim (Diann) Fradette of Helena, MT. She is preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral Services will be at First Presbyterian Church Fulda, MN at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, March 25, 2008 with the Rev. Dave Poppen officiating. The organist is Mary Jean Buschena. Interment at Sunset Rest Cemetery Rushmore, MN.
Dateline Lakefield Visitation will be Monday from 4 to 7p.m. at the Totzke Funeral Home in Fulda, and 1 hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday.
