Warren Kerr was born on January 19, 1930 in Lawton, North Dakota to George and Anna Wischer Kerr. When Warren was 6 years old the family moved to the Minneota, MN area. Warren graduated from Lynd High School in 1948. Following high school Warren attended the University of Minnesota Ag Program in Minneapolis, MN. On December 30, 1950 Warren enlisted in the United State Air Force. Following his discharge on December 10, 1954 he returned to the Minneota area and worked for Cargill. On June 26, 1957 he and Marianne Lord were married at St. Mary's Church in Tracy, MN. Following their marriage they lived in the Marshall, MN area and Warren continued working for Cargill. In 1959 they moved to Slayton and Warren worked for Swift and Co. as a hog buyer. In 1976 Warren began working as a volunteer driver for the Murray County Transportation Office in Slayton. On April 28, 2008 Warren became a resident of the Maple Lawn Nursing Home in Fulda, MN and passed away there on July 24, 2008 at the age of 78. He was a member of St. Ann's Church in Slayton. He also was an active member of the Murray County Food Shelf Board and the Murray County Christmas Project Board. Warren was a member of the Slayton American Legion Post and the Knights of Columbus where he was a past Grand Knight.

Survivors include his wife, Marianne Kerr of Slayton, MN, four children, Greg Kerr of River Falls, WI, Pat Kerr-Reitsma of Minnetonka, MN, Angie Henning and her husband, Dale of Welcome, MN, and Teresa Daugherty and her husband, Tom of Dacula, GA, eight grandchildren, six brothers and sisters and their spouses, Duane and Barb Kerr of Russell, MN, Jim and Elaine Kerr of Russell, MN, Hugh and Carol Kerr of Savannah, GA, George Kerr of Las Vegas, NV, Margaret and Frank Mitchell of Canby, MN, and Albert and Bev Kerr of Sioux Falls, SD, one sister-in-law, Helen Kerr of Cornville, AZ.

Visitation will be on Monday from 4-7 PM at the Totzke Funeral Home in Slayton with a KC rosary at 6:30 PM and a prayer services at 6:45 PM. Visitation will also be one hour prior to the services at the church on Tuesday.

The service will be at St. Ann's Church in Slayton, MN on Tuesday, July 29, 2008 at 10:30 AM with Fr. Bob Horihan officiating. Interment is at St. Ann's Cemetery Slayton, MN. Military honors accorded by the Slayton American Legion and the Slayton VFW Post.
