Sibley, Iowa – An Ocheyedan man has been sentenced to prison for a term not to exceed 15 years.
Osceola County Attorney Robert Hansen reports that on Sept. 5, 40-year-old Troy Harris of Ocheyedan was sentenced in Osceola County District Court for the crimes of Kidnapping in the Third Degree, a Class “C” Felony and Domestic Abuse, Third or Subsequent Offense, a Class “D” Felony. The court ordered that the sentences be imposed consecutively.
The charges stem from a 9-1-1 call to the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office from the victim on May 19. Harris was arrested when deputies found the victim being held against her will and suffering from a broken arm.
