Strenge

Name: Tim Strenge

Occupation: I work for as a loan officer at a bank in Worthington.

What prompted you to run for county commissioner?: I decided to run for the position of Commissioner so I could represent the voters of this community in a professional manner. I want to be a Commissioner that the people can feel comfortable coming to. I am a very good listener and will voice the concerns of the voter. I want to see Murray County run as a business. It is important that consideration is given and talked about within the community, so that we make good business decisions.

Do you have experience in leadership or local government? I have served as councilman for the City of Fulda. I am a Veteran. I am President of the Ironhorse Motorcycle Club. I have owned my own business. I have worked in the grain business and understand how important our farmers are and how they impact our communities.

What do you think is the most important issue in your county? The economy is so important at this time. I believe we need to make smart choices for the county that impact everyone with professionalism and thought and how it will affect the area. We need to set budgets and stick to those budgets so our taxes will not continue to rise. We need to try to bring new business to the County.

Did the recent redistricting influence your decision to run?

The redistricting had no influence on my decision to run. I have been thinking about running for this position for quite some time. Murray County has given so much to my family and so many others. I feel that I will be able to give my full time to Murray County and hopefully represent the voters proudly.
