PRINSBURG - One person was killed and another was seriously injured in a two-vehicle crash early Sunday morning west of Prinsburg.
According to the State Patrol, a 2013 Freightliner semi driven by Walt Palma, 35, of Redwood Falls was going east on state Highway 7 when it collided broadside with a 2002 Buick Regal that was going south on 135th Street, which is also known as Kandiyohi County Road 7.
The driver of the Buick Regal died at the scene of the accident.
The identity of the driver has not yet been released.
Palma was airlifted to St. Cloud Hospital with serious injuries.
The accident was reported at 3:30 a.m. Road conditions were dry at the time of the crash, according to State Patrol.
The highway was shut down for a time while emergency crews responded to the accident.
