PIPESTONE -- One person was dead and two others were injured as a result of a two-vehicle crash early Saturday morning near Pipestone.
The Pipestone County Sheriff’s Office, Pipestone Fire Department, Pipestone County Ambulance and Jasper Community Ambulance were dispatched at approximately 2:25 a.m. Saturday for the crash, which took place on Minnesota 23 just south of Pipestone. A 2000 Chevy Silverado operated by Zachary R. Boucher, 21, of Brookings, S.D, was traveling northbound, crossed the center line and struck a 2005 Ford Mustang operated by Jordan D. Egge, 24, of Sioux Falls, S.D.
Egge was pronounced dead at the scene. Boucher sustained a serious injury while Madorie A. Schroer-Dolezal, 22, also of Sioux Falls and a passenger in the Mustang, also had a serious injury.
The Minnesota State Patrol is investigating the crash.
