OWATONNA -- Three players scored two goals apiece to lead the Owatonna Huskies to an 11-0 victory over the Worthington Trojans in the first round of the Section 1AA boys' hockey tournament.
Chris Goodew, Zach Strand and Eric Johnson each scored twice for Owatonna, which scored five times in the opening period before lighting the lamp six times in the final period.
Eric Wobschall made nine saves for the Huskies, while Worthington's Kevin Swenson stopped 42 shots.
"We had a good, competitive season," Trojans head coach Matt Smith said. "We were in just about every game we played, and we accomplished a lot of our goals this year."
Worthington finishes with an 8-13 record.

Owatonna (8-17-1) plays at Rochester John Marshall Thursday.

WINDOM -- After falling behind 1-0 through the first period, Windom Area scored three unanswered goals to advance to the second round.
Redwood Valley had a 1-0 lead after the first period despite being outshot 14-4. In the second, Windom Area cashed in its opportunities as Kirby Johnson scored the first goal of the period on a power play, and Nick Johns later put the Eagles ahead for good.

Johns added a second goal in the third period on an empty-netter.
"We spent most of the second and third period in their end, worked and got shots from the point," Windom Area head coach Steve Clark said.
Brett Oltmanns stopped 16 shots for the Eagles (11-13), who take on Mankato West in Thursday's second round contest at All Seasons Arena.
