SUPERIOR, Wis. - A payday lender was the victim of an armed robbery today, according to a news release issued by the Superior Police Department.
According to Capt. Chad La Lor police responded to Payday Loan, 1808 Tower Ave., around 4:45 p.m. on a report of an armed robbery. Officers arrived at the store and found the suspects had already fled. The clerk reported two males, one described as a black, the other white, entered the store and demanded cash from the clerk. The males escaped with an undisclosed amount of cash.
Officers searched the area and processed the crime scene. The store clerk was uninjured in this robbery.
The investigation into this robbery is in its early stages, and as a result, no additional information was available.
