PIPESTONE - Meinders Community Library has been selected as one of 200 finalists to receive a $25,000 grant from the State Farm Neighborhood Assist program.
The grant would transform a dedicated room into a community learning commons, or a STEAM Room, which aims to educate people of all ages in elements of Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math on an intellectual and physical level.
Forty projects will receive grants, out of 2,000 submissions nationally. The top 40 will be voted on at at www.neighborhoodassist.com/entry/1995997 from Aug. 16-25. Anyone with a valid email address can go online to vote for the project up to 10 times daily.
