'Poldark' screening is June 11 at Center for Active Living

WORTHINGTON -- The first episode of the new, seven--part PBS romance "Poldark on Masterpiece" will be shown in a sneak preview screening event June 11 at the Center for Active Living, 211 11th St.

WORTHINGTON - The first episode of the new, seven-­part PBS romance “Poldark on Masterpiece” will be shown in a sneak preview screening event June 11 at the Center for Active Living, 211 11th St.
The screening will begin at 5:45 p.m. Doors open at 5 p.m., and participants are invited to come early and enjoy free appetizers and refreshments.
Pioneer Public Television is co­-sponsoring the event in cooperation with Compassionate Care Hospice, Minnesota West Community and Technical College and the Center for Active Living. The event is free and open to the public.
‘Poldark on Masterpiece” is a swashbuckling new adaptation of the iconic hit series that premieres nationwide June 21. The re­imagined saga stars Aidan Turner (“The Hobbit”) as the dashing squire Ross Poldark and includes original “Poldark” protagonist Robin Ellis as Reverend Halse.
