I read with interest and concern the recent story of Rod Hamilton's illness. I first met the Hamiltons as newlyweds moving into their first apartment and new job. My summary of the young tenant -- I wish each could be a class act like they were.
I then enjoyed interacting with Rod over the next 15 years in business transactions. My summary of the young ag manager -- I wish every customer showed his class and loyalty. I followed closely his campaigns and actions in St Paul. My summary of the legislator -- I wish each showed his dedication, concern and judgment. Now I realize the battle he and his family have ahead, yet one of his top concerns remain his job of representing rural Minnesota. My summary of the man -- I wish each of us could find the strength within us that Rod has. My hopes and prayers are with Rod, his family and the citizens of District 22B. You are lucky to have him working for you, now and as long as he is willing to serve your needs.
