Region 2AA Jazz Festival is Monday

WORTHINGTON -- The 2018 Minnesota State High School League's Region 2AA Jazz Festival will take place Monday in the music wing at Worthington High School (WHS).

WORTHINGTON - The 2018 Minnesota State High School League’s Region 2AA Jazz Festival will take place Monday in the music wing at Worthington High School (WHS).

 

The event, which is free and open to the public, will feature 16 jazz bands from nine schools within Region 2AA. Six experienced judges will critique and rate the performances, which will take place between 2:50 p.m. and 7:55 p.m. at two sites in the school’s music wing.

 

The jazz festival is sponsored by Midbell Music, WAMBO and the Minnesota State High School League.

All are welcome to attend the performances. The WHS jazz band has the last slot of the night, at 7:55 p.m. in the band room. Performances may also be viewed throughout the afternoon and evening on the District 518 Facebook page and on the “Spirit of Worthington” Trojan Marching Band’s Facebook page.
