The 5-foot, 80-pound Barway Collins with brown eyes was last seen after he got off his school bus near his apartment, where he lived with his mother and three other family members. The boy’s father, a suspect in the case, has claimed he had nothing to do with the disappearance in a series of media interviews.
The search Thursday night in Crystal, Brooklyn Park and New Hope was organized by a nearby neighbor to the family, Sheila Bradley-Smith, who has a Facebook page called “Find Barway Collins.” She said they will be passing out flier with the boy’s photo on it to businesses, homes and apartment complexes. Bradley-Smith says on the website that two of her nieces were kidnapped in Chicago in 2001 and never found and that’s why she helps anytime someone is reported missing.
