RUSHMORE -- Three people were thrown from a vehicle during a rollover crash Monday morning, but miraculously, no one was seriously injured.
The Nobles County Sheriff's Office and Minnesota State Highway Patrol responded to the one-vehicle rollover accident shortly after 10:30 a.m. on Interstate 90, near mile marker 33 on the westbound side.
Rushmore Rescue and the Worthington Ambulance were called to the scene, where the three people, including a two-month-old infant, had been ejected from the vehicle.
The 1996 Chevy Blazer was a total loss, but there were no serious injuries. The driver, Kathryn Ann Schons, 17, of Rushmore, was treated and released at Worthington Regional Hospital. Passengers Michele Schons, 47, of Rushmore, and infant Alec Murphy were also treated and released at Worthington Regional Hospital.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, the infant's car seat separated from its base and the baby was ejected from the vehicle.
