School's out ... forever

Fluit Farms Excavating & Scrap takes down the Leota Christian School Tuesday afternoon. Town of Leota Clerk Brent Feikema said Thursday that the building was constructed in 1953 and had more than 100 students enrolled upon its opening. The K-8 school closed in approximately 2007, Feikema added, noting that the property now belongs to Chandler Feed Co. .
