Alverne "Cannonball" Johnson, 71, of Jasper, died Tuesday, April 29, 2008, at the Avera Heart Hospital, Sioux Falls, S.D.
Surviving are his wife, LaRay Johnson, Jasper; two sons, Tim Johnson, Jasper, and Jason (Suzanne) Johnson, Beaver Creek; a brother, Jerald Johnson, Pipestone; and two grandsons.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Hartquist Funeral Home, Foster Chapel, Jasper.
The service will be 11 a.m. Friday at the Jasper Evangelical Lutheran Church, Jasper. Burial will be in Eden Cemetery, Eden Township.
