Shots fired at home in Sanborn, Iowa

SANBORN, Iowa -- A Sanborn, Iowa, man was taken into custody Tuesday after the O'Brien County Sheriff's Office received a report of shots fired at 312 East Seventh St., No. 9.

SANBORN, Iowa -- A Sanborn, Iowa, man was taken into custody Tuesday after the O'Brien County Sheriff's Office received a report of shots fired at 312 East Seventh St., No. 9.

According to a news release, the sheriff's office, along with the Sanborn and Sheldon Police Departments, responded to the call, where they were advised the male resident, Timothy Warden, fired an SKS rifle.

Warden refused to exit the trailer. After speaking to him by cell phone, officers convinced Warden to leave the trailer, and he was taken into custody without incident.

Warden is charged with intimidation with a dangerous weapon, a class C felony, domestic assault (enhanced), an aggravated misdemeanor, and possession of marijuana, a serious misdemeanor.

His bond was set at $10,000.
