SIBLEY, Iowa -- The Sibley Chamber of Commerce will host "Christmas around the World on Dec. 5 and 6 in Sibley.
The following events are planned:
Dec. 5: 9 to 11 a.m. Breakfast with Santa, Pizza Ranch; 9 a.m. Frosty Feet Fleet 5K Run/Walk, Super Foods parking lot; 10:15 a.m. Penguin Waddle, Main Street; 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Christmas stories and gingerbread cookie decorating, Sibley Public Library; 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sibley-Ocheyedan Choir Boosters Tour of Homes (tickets available at the Porch on Main, Sibley State Bank, US Bank, Melvin Savings Bank or United Community Bank-Ocheyedan); 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Otter Valley Railroad Display with cookies and cider, fairgrounds; 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Viewing of Traditions displays with cookies and cider, Zylstra Building; 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Antiquities photo shoot, Osceola Community Hospital Wellness Center; 1 p.m. Christmas movie "Old Dogs," Max Theaters; 3 to 5 p.m. Santa present, Zylstra Building; 5 to 8p.m. Light-up Sibley Contest judging (pre-registration at the Chamber Office or in the Osceola County Gazette-Tribune.
Dec. 6: 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Chris Cakes Pancake Brunch, Sibley-Ocheyedan High School; 1 to 5 p.m. Viewing of Traditions displays, Zylstra Building; 1 to 5 p.m. Antiquities photo shoot, Osceola Community Hospital Wellness Center.
