WORTHINGTON -- A slide show made possible by a Historical and Cultural Heritage Center grant will be the focus of August’s Lunch at the Museum at the Nobles County Historical Society Museum, located in the lower level of the Nobles County Library at 407 12th St. The event is scheduled for noon Aug. 18.

The NCHS received the grant to scan negatives and color slides that have been donated to the society over many years. Alicia Darling and Nicholas Demuth have spent many hours scanning the negatives and slides. The slide show will include a selection of pictures from the 4-H Club taken in 1933, Turkey Day parades from the 1950s, the Worthington Depot, aerial views of Worthington taken on July 5, 1936, and views of a rural school taken with a Brownie camera.
