ADRIAN -- St. Patrick's Day will be celebrated with parades Saturday in both Adrian and Luverne.
The Irish will take to Main Street in Luverne at 3 p.m., traveling from the Sears lot west down Main Street. Following the parade, the downtown pub Skipper's will serve green beer and appetizers. In addition, the Eagles Auxiliary will serve Reuben sandwiches from 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday at the Eagles Club.
In Adrian, the Metz and Egan clans have issued a challenge to all to show their Irish pride during a 5 p.m. parade down Maine Avenue. Anyone wishing to participate in the parade is asked to meet at the corner of Adrian Auto on Maine Avenue at 4:30 p.m.
