WORTHINGTON -- Pavement work on Strait Avenue from Clary Street to Miller Street is tentatively scheduled to begin Monday. Strait Avenue will be closed to all traffic. No parking will be permitted on the street.
Weather permitting and construction proceeding as planned, the work should be completed and normal traffic restored in about 10 days.
Pavement work on First Avenue from 13th Street through 15th Street is tentatively scheduled to begin Tuesday. First Avenue will be open to through traffic; however, there will be brief intermittent traffic interruptions along with restricted driving lanes and parking. Thirteenth Street at First Avenue and 15th Street at First Avenue will be closed.
The City of Worthington Engineering Department requests that motorists reduce speed, watch for construction equipment and drive carefully. A majority of the work should be completed and normal traffic restored in early- to mid-August.
