RED WING - Red Wing police were searching Friday for a teenager suspected of assaulting and kidnapping a woman.
Officers were called at 1:20 a.m. following reports that an 18-year-old woman had been assaulted by the suspect known to her.
According to initial reports, the suspect assaulted the woman in her vehicle outside McDonald's, 2770 N. Service Drive, then again in the 1400 block of West Fourth Street. The woman told police that during the second incident, the suspect physically assaulted her and forced her into his vehicle before releasing her.
The case remained under investigation Friday afternoon.
