BEAVER CREEK -- A 17-year-old girl from Garretson, S.D., was killed in a car crash Friday night near Beaver Creek.
Tina Sandbulte was pronounced dead at the scene of the one-vehicle rollover at the intersection of 61st Street and 80th Avenue, south of Beaver Creek.
The Rock County Sheriff's Office responded to the crash at approximately 11:04 p.m. Friday. A press release issued by the department said Sandbulte apparently lost control of her vehicle and was ejected in the rollover.
The release stated that a toxicology report is being conducted, and it is unknown at this time if alcohol was a factor in the crash.
Sandbulte, daughter of Norinda Sandbulte of Garretson, S.D., and Gerrit Sandbulte of Beaver Creek, was a junior at Garretson High School. She has two brothers and one sister.

Sandbulte was a cheerleader, played basketball, softball and volleyball for Garretson High School, and was a student aide for second-graders.
Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Luverne.
