WOODBURY - A Woodbury teen has been charged as an adult in connection with a series of armed robberies that took place in St. Paul this spring.

The Ramsey County Attorney's Office filed three counts of aggravated robbery against Travon T. Ferrara, 18, for his alleged role in four armed robberies that took place in St. Paul April 29 and three counts of aggravated robbery in connection with an armed robbery that took place April 25.

Ferrara was 17 when the crimes took place, but was certified for adult court on Sept. 17, a Ramsey County criminal complaint states.

The criminal complaint for the April 25 incident alleges that Ferrara was part of a group of young men that tried to sell marijuana to a group of eight people when one of the suspects pulled out a gun and demanded a wallet from the group. The alleged suspect dropped his cell phone as he fled the crime scene, which police retrieved and tracked it to its owner - Ferrara.

The charges for the April 29 incident allege that Ferrara helped plan four armed robberies executed by accomplices as he drove them around St. Paul.
