SHELDON, Iowa -- The Sheldon Police Department has filed criminal charges on two area men for their involvement in the burglaries at O'Brien County Implement and RV Central in Sheldon on Oct. 31.
Jeremy Paul Rutledge, 39, of Doon, has been charged with two counts of third degree burglary, one count of third degree criminal mischief and one count of fourth degree criminal mischief. He is being held in the Lyon County Jail on additional charges of burglary, attempted burglary, possession of burglary tools and for being a felon in possession of a firearm. His bond is set at $5,000.
Chad Allen Herring, 31, of Sioux Center, Iowa, has been charged with two counts of third degree burglary, third degree criminal mischief and fourth degree criminal mischief. He is in the Sioux County Jail on charges of burglary and possession of stolen property. Herring also has charges pending against him in Lyon County.
