MANKATO -- United Prairie Bank has announced plans to close their Round Lake branch.
United Prairie Bank has served Round Lake for many years, and while the company is strong, leadership at the bank has decided it is not in the company's best interest to continue a physical presence in these communities, a news release issued Thursday stated/
Customers of the Round Lake branch will still have access to their accounts and can continuing banking with United Prairie at any of their remaining 13 locations throughout Minnesota, including Worthington and Wilmont.
In addition, with the convenience of online banking, telephone banking and other electronic services, the transition should be an easy one for United Prairie customers.
"With the conveniences of online banking and our staff having the ability to travel and meet our customers at their locations, we will remain productive and offer the same superior service," said Scott Bradley, CEO of United Prairie Bank.

Round Lake customers are encouraged to visit with United Prairie staff if they have any questions.
"Our staff is prepared to assist our customers through this transition and help them achieve their financial goals," said Bradley.
The last day of business at the Round Lake and Dawson locations will be June 29.
