LUVERNE - An authentic USO Show reenactment will take the stage of the historic Palace Theatre in Luverne Aug. 26-27 as part of Luverne’s continuing 150th anniversary celebration.
The shows will feature Bob Hope reenactor Bill Johnson, who has performed for many American presidents, all branches of the military and hosts the Canteen shows at the World War II Museum in New Orleans, La.
Also included are the Fulda Big Band with vocal performances by Sheila Crowley, the seductive sounds of Marilyn Monroe recreated by New York actress and vocalist Jorie Kosel, Luverne’s own version of The Andrews Sisters - the Sandbulte Sisters, vocalist Todd Eckart, who performs as Frank Sinatra and the local Spotlight Dance’s “Swing Troop”
Reserved seating is available for the 7:30 p.m. Aug. 26 show, and the 2 p.m. Aug. 27 matinee. Tickets may be purchased through the Palace Theatre Box Office at (507) 283-4339.
