Van Der Stoep hits eight 3s in Ellsworth win

ROUND LAKE -- Aaron Van Der Stoep hit eight 3-pointers and scored 30 points to lead Ellsworth to its 23rd victory of the season Tuesday, 95-55 in boys' basketball action.

Tim Haberman topped Round Lake-Brewster (7-14) with 13 points and seven rebounds. Lon Eichenberger had 12 points and Riley Van Westen nabbed eight boards.

MOUNTAIN LAKE -- Ryan Lonneman had a double-double -- 20 points, 12 rebounds -- and Brian Tjepkes scored 18 points as Adrian used a huge first half to beat Mountain Lake/Butterfield-Odin.

Danny Parsley added 15 points for the Dragons (11-9).

Barrett Herrig scored 15 points and pulled down 12 boards for the Wolverines (4-18), followed by 14 points and six rebounds from Kyle Schroeder.

SLAYTON -- Paced by 25 points, five steals, five rebounds and five assists from Paul Counter, Murray County Central topped Fulda.

Cole Hegstad had 14 points, 14 rebounds and three blocks, while Derik Johnson had 13 points, eight assists and seven rebounds for the Rebels.

Alex Hein and David Crowley led Fulda with 13 and 11 respective points.

Trey Manitz topped Edgerton with 12 points.

JACKSON -- Blitzing Jackson County Central 43-15 in the first half, the Luverne Cardinals finished the Southwest Conference season with a victory over the Huskies.

Derek Boeve scored 23 points to spark Luverne, while Andrew DeBoer and Erik Stegeman scored 14 and 12 points, respectively.

Derek Kazemba topped JCC with 12 points.

Luverne (8-4, 16-6) visits MCC Thursday, while JCC (4-8, 9-13) hosts Martin County West the same night.

WINDOM -- Zach Umbreit tallied 12 points for Martin County West, which survived a buzzer-beating 3-point attempt from Michael Johnson for the victory.

Jeff Krumweide and Jordan Fast each added 10 points for MCW (20-3), which shot 17-for-23 at the free-throw line.

Bryce Grove led four players in double figures for Windom with 17 points. He also had six rebounds. Brett Dumke had 15 points and eight boards, Jesse Behrens had 13 points and three assists, and Johnson finished with 10 points and three assists.

Windom (7-15) hit 11-of-24 free throws. The Eagles play Marshall Friday at Target Center in Minneapolis.

PIPESTONE -- Greg Quist tallied 23 points, five rebounds and three steals as Pipestone Area topped Tracy-Milroy-Balaton.

Isaac Dolan topped T-M-B with 11 points. Steve Pasadie had 10 points.
