Volunteers, donations needed for community Thanksgiving

WORTHINGTON -- The 2015 Worthington Community Thanksgiving Dinner will be Nov. 26 at First Lutheran Church, 1200 Fourth Ave. Serving is from noon to 1:15 p.m. All area residents are welcome.

Turkey dinners will be delivered to people who are unable to leave their homes. Contact Terry Morrison, 227-1539, and leave a voice message to request a delivery. State your name, address and number of meals needed.
Volunteers are needed to assist with food preparation and table setup beginning at 8 a.m. on Nov. 26; use the parking lot door. Help with general cleanup is also needed starting at 1:15 p.m.
If possible, it is helpful to bring salads, pies and other desserts to complement the main meal. Other food and money donations can be delivered or mailed to the Morrisons, 710 Ninth Ave., Worthington 56187. Checks should be payable to Community Thanksgiving Fund.
Transportation to the meal site can be provided. Call 227-1539 before 8 a.m. Nov. 26; or 376-6148 after 8 a.m. Nov. 26 to make arrangements.
