WORTHINGTON -- Nobles County will be using the Optical Scan Voting System for the Aug. 14 primary election.

According to Minnesota Statutes 206.83, the official in charge of elections shall have the voting system tested to ascertain that the system will correctly count the votes cast for all candidates and all questions. This test must be completed within 14 days prior to Election Day, which should be witnessed by representatives of political parties, candidates, the press and the public.

The system test will be 10 a.m. Wednesday in the training room on the second floor of the Nobles County Government Center, 318 Ninth St., Worthington.
