WORTHINGTON -- Water main work on Oxford Street from Smith Avenue toward Humiston Avenue is tentatively scheduled to begin today.
Smith Avenue will be closed at Oxford Street, and will remain closed to through traffic for approximately five days. Oxford Street will be open to traffic at all times.
Driving lanes will be reduced to one-lane traffic. Motorists are advised to reduce speed, watch for construction equipment and drive carefully in the construction zone.
Weather permitting and construction proceeding as planned, pipe and pavement restoration work should be completed and normal traffic restored in late August or early September.
